Information: The Skills Academy is a new Training Centre set up near Glasgow City Centre offering construction related training courses and programmes, and for Doors Open Day it will be offering opportunities to try out various different construction skills. So why not pop along and have a go! Based at the former St John's Primary School in Laurieston, this will be a 'drop-in' day with morning sessions running from 10am to 12noon and afternoon sessions from 13.00 to 15.00. The Academy is as a partnership working initiative between Glasgow City Council and City Building (Glasgow) LLP with a view to training the people of Glasgow (and surrounding areas) in the skills required for the construction industry.
