Information: Wear stout shoes. A 700 hundred year old Country Estate in heart of the city created by the Maxwell family and gifted to the citizens of Glasgow. Together with guide Bob Marshall you will look at the development of the Landscape, the sites of two previous Castle homes, the changes to the 18th Century Pollok House and Courtyard, and the magnificent walled and woodland gardens. Did you know that "Polloktoune" and its 300 people were cleared in the 18th century as it spoiled the view? An option afterwards to visit inside Pollok House including the Stirling Maxwell collection of Spanish Art.
