What does the Tenement Mean to You
Special Event
NEW
New Glasgow Society Offices 1307 Argyle Street Glasgow G3 8TL
An open celebration of the Glasgow Tenement, featuring a new exhibition, talks, performances and free discussion. #glasgowtenement
The tenement is woven into the fabric of Glasgow (Frank Walker)
The Glasgow tenement embodies many of the aspects that have shaped our city. Join us for two days of events, and a week-long exhibition, celebrating its place in the history and future of Glasgow.
As part of a longer collaborative process facilitated by New Glasgow Society, we will be gathering and presenting a variety of stories, memories, opinions, experiences, artworks, poetry, critical reflections and architectural insights ultimately leading to the establishment of a permanent social history museum of the Glasgow tenement.
If you want to contribute to the project, email [email protected] or tweet us @glasgowtenement
Part of the Childrens Programme: The event and exhibition will be suitable for children, but not specifically targeted to children.
