At 22-storeys, Anniesland Court is the tallest listed building in Scotland and Glasgow’s only Category A listed tower block. Tours will be taken to a top level for a description of the building and views over the city.

Built between 1968 and 1970 and designed by Jack Holmes & Partners, 843 Crow Road is located in the heart of Anniesland at the junction of Crow Road and Great Western Road. Constructed at a time when the Glasgow Corporation was building tower blocks throughout the city, Anniesland Court remains one of the finest examples of these megastructures.

With its split level flats and a separate service tower it was perhaps inspired by Erno Goldfingers Balfron Tower (which itself was the inspiration for his later and more famous Trellick Tower).

This is a rare opportunity to visit Anniesland Court, which is fully let and popular amongst residents. Tours will be taken to an upper level with access to the service towers and drying balconies.

Please be aware that Doors Open Day events are very popular and will book out quickly.

Spaces are limited per person. As this building is very popular tickets have been limited to 2 per person to give as many different people as possible an opportunity to get involved.

Please only book for events that you intend to go to and cancel your space as soon as possible if you are unable to attend.

If the event is fully booked please feel free to add yourself to the wait list, if a space becomes available you will be contacted and will have one day to respond. Please be aware that you must add yourself to the waitlist for every space and for the times that you want ie. if looking for three spaces at any time, add your name 3 times to each event time.

Access

Restrictions on Access: Visitors will not be given access to peoples houses. Only one level will be open which include viewing areas.
Limited Disabled Access
All areas are accessible, but there may be difficulties for wheelchair users.
