Due to close for refurbishment in 2016, this is your last chance to explore the hidden stores of one of the greatest collections created by one person. Join a tour and explore objects not normally open to the public. 8yrs+ must be accompanied by an adult.

In the heart of Pollok Country Park, this award-winning building houses a unique collection in a beautiful woodland setting.

Named after its donor, the shipping magnate Sir William Burrell, the collection displays a range from work by major artists including Rodin, Degas and Cézanne, and includes important examples of late medieval art, Chinese and Islamic art, Ancient Civilizations and more.

Although the collection comprises of over 8000 objects, only 3000 are currently exhibited. The Behind the Scenes tours offer a unique opportunity to go behind closed doors and explore the stores and objects not normally open to the public. As the Burrell Collection is due to close for refurbishment in 2016 this may be the last opportunity to see this internationally important collection in its current incarnation.

The Burrell Collection runs an extensive programme of events and activities for both adults and families with children throughout the year and will continue to do so until closure.
