Category B Listed

One of the first opportunities to see the refurbishment of Category B listed Carnegie Library in all its glory. Join Glasgow Women’s Library as they showcase the best from their museum, archive and library collections.

One of the first opportunities to see this wonderful refurbishment in all its glory before we unleash the full potential of this unique library, museum and archive to deliver new, fresh artistic programmes of events within its new venue.

In November 2013, GWL relocated to permanent premises following several years in temporary accommodation. Now the sole occupant of a beautiful early twentieth century Grade B Listed Carnegie Library in the heart of Glasgow’s increasingly vibrant East End.

GWL will complete a major renovation project on this building during early Summer 2015. The capital works will unleash the full potential of this unique organisation to deliver new, fresh artistic programmes of events and learning opportunities within its new venue, as well as showcasing the best from GWL’s museum, archive and library collections.

Join us this Doors Open weekend to be one of the first to see this wonderful refurbishment in all its glory.
