Explore the oldest surviving railway station building in Glasgow, its history and its recent conversion into a community cycling centre followed by an easy cycle tour of nearby Pollok Park,one of Glasgows hidden gems delivered by a profesional cycle guide. Hire a bike from us or bring your own.

Pollokshaws West Railway Station is important as the oldest surviving railway station building in operation in Glasgow. Recently refurbished by GBPT, now a base for South West Community Cycles.

Inspired by Scotrails Adopt a Station initiative, Glasgow Building Preservation Trust have developed Pollokshaws West Railway Station for a number of years with the restauration successfully completed in May 2013.

The buildings have been converted into a resource centre for South West Community Cycles providing affordable bike related services including cycle hire and repair, activities and an information centre.

This event will start off with a 30 minute tour of Pollokshaws West Railway Station and will be followed by a 1 hour cycle ride into the nearby Pollok Park, discovering all the park has to offer including its stunning wildlife and its beautiful woodlands delivered by a profesional cycle guide. Bring your own bike or hire one of our exquisite fleet. Refreshments will be provided at the end of the tour.
