Burrell Collection, The
Named after its donor, the shipping magnate Sir William Burrell, it is one of the greatest collections ever created by one person. Included are over 8000 objects from Ancient Civilisations, Medieval Europe and examples of Chinese and Islamic art.
In the heart of Pollok Country Park, this award-winning building houses a unique collection in a beautiful woodland setting.
Displays range from work by major artists including Rodin, Degas and Cezanne, to important examples of late medieval art, Chinese and Islamic art, Ancient Civilizations and more.
The Burrell regularly hosts temporary exhibitions, and runs an extensive programme of events and activities for both adults and families with children.

Self led trails and backpacks available from the Enquiry Desk. Learn about the Burrell Collection and have fun along the way with our range of backpacks and trails. Pick up a backpack for an interactive look at the collection or test your powers of observation with a trail. Both are suitable for a range of ages. Trails includ Treasure Trail, Mosques Minarets, and The Tricky Tudors. Backpacks available include Around the World (age 5+), Animal Safari (age 7+) Sketchers (age 12+). Free to use.
