The iconic building has been activated by WAVEparticle as a space for use by the local community and artists. Visit the Bamboo Pavilion by architect Lee Ivett, a unique temporary installation in the grounds. Under 12’s should be accompanied by an adult.
Art organisation WAVEparticle has activated three new spaces as part of Art & Living : Laurieston, http://lauriestonlivingarts.com the art strategy developed for Laurieston in partnership with New Gorbals Housing Association and Urban Union.
The 3 spaces include Re:Dwell at the Caledonia Road Church; Artist in Arches (AiA), a series of vacant railway arches in Cleland Lane, adjacent to the Citizens Theatre; and The Laurieston Arena at Norfolk Court by Gorbals Street.
These three sites, within a 10 minute walk of each other, have been reclaimed for use by the local community and for artists and others from all over Scotland and beyond.
