Glasgow City Centre Mural Trail

NEW!

Walking Tour

Glasgow City Chambers George Square G2 1DU

Within easy walking distance of the city centre, Glasgow has created a Mural Trail featuring a diverse range of installations helping to rejuvenate streets and revitalise buildings and vacant sites. Join this introductory walking tour to find out more.

Expanding in scope since the first art work was produced in 2008, the Mural Trail is having a major impact on Glasgow city centre by creating splashes of colour which brighten up lanes and streets. This helps make them more inviting for locals and tourists alike to visit and supports local businesses.

The huge range of artwork on display has something to suit all tastes conservative to radical, quirky to bizarre. Notable highlights include the Hip Hop Marionettes, the Glasgow Panda, the Spaceman, and our Fellow Glasgow Residents.

Along the way you will hear about the origins of the Mural Trail, and the artists and organisations involved in its development.

Glasgow is proud of its cultural heritage, its local artists and their inspirational, colourful installations that have helped make the Mural Trail the attraction it has become.
